Tim is an attorney (JD) with a Master’s Degree in Taxation. He is a nationally recognized expert in the areas of strategic tax planning, asset protection strategies, compensation and benefit planning, business succession and exit strategies, retirement planning, and business wealth building strategies.

​After losing his father in high school, Tim worked in a Pittsburgh steel mill to put himself through college. Tim’s professional career includes more than 10 years of strategic business and tax planning experience in a corporate tax group for a global energy company.

​

He then spent 3 years with Arthur Anderson’s national consulting practice, where he focused on developing and presenting business and tax strategies for Fortune 500 companies.​

​

 Tim has personally visited, advised, and continues to keep in contact with hundreds of business owners in 47 different states.  He founded and was the Managing Director of the Business Wealth Preservation Group.

​

​The BWP Group provided strategic tax, business, and asset protection planning strategies.  In that capacity, he has worked with start-up companies, million dollar companies, and 100 million dollar companies from coast to coast in every industry imaginable.

​

​Tim has owned and operated businesses, advisory firms, and was a partner in a law firm.  His years of professional experience have provided an extensive network of trusted individuals, firms and companies that will continue to align with the values of the Plan My Business Exit Group.

​Tim has been married for 25 years to his wife Diane. They have two children - twins. The Foster Family enjoys biking, hiking, boating, and are very active in basketball, baseball and softball.  The Fosters are very active in their community, local charities and the Northern Illinois Food Bank.
